Founded in 1962 in cooperation with the Medical Society of Mobile County, the Museum houses the largest collection of medical artifacts in the Southeast. Two hundred years of medical heritage are reflected in documents and photographs including Alabama's first Medical College (1859). Open for tours Monday-Friday, 9:00-4:00. Expanding into interactive Health Adventure in downtown Mobile in Fall of 1999.

One of Mobile's finest examples of the Italianate style. Famous for its cast-iron facade depicting the four seasons. National Register (1860). Lavish iron lace decorates the Richards – Daughters of the American Revolution House Museum. This beautiful Town House of the Italianate style tells the story of Mobile during its antebellum period. Steamboat Captain Charles G. Richards and his wife, Caroline Elizabeth Steele, built their dream house in 1860.

Located in downtown Mobile, Exploreum visitors can experience more than 150 hands-on science adventures in three permanent galleries: Hands On Hall, the Wharf of Wonder and My BodyWorks, the most advanced health exhibit in the nation. The Exploreum also features large-scale, family friendly, interactive traveling exhibits, year-round with broad science content and supplementary, themed educational programming. Guests can also enjoy demonstrations or workshops in the ChemLab, BioLab or new ExploreTEC lab and see a film in the J.L. Bedsole IMAX Theater.

The Mobile Museum of Art (MMofA) includes a permanent collection of close to 10,000 works of fine and decorative arts from America, Asia, and Europe. This collection spans periods from classical antiquity to the present day. MMofA is supported by a unique public/private partnership of city and community support. Its facility is owned by the city of Mobile, and the art collection is privately owned.
