Earthship Corp. was formed by Sue Blakely, a tireless worker and believer in Vic Cook's approach to improving society. She is living in a forest with no outside utility hook up. Sue is living "off the land" in a beautiful handmade log cabin of her own design. Her cabin sets on a plateau on a hillside over looking a creek and a wet land.

Located in Syracuse, Indiana in the Syracuse Community Center across from Lakeside Park, the Syracuse-Wawasee Historical Museum, has been offering a glimpse back in time for the Lakeland area since 1987. It was founded with funds gained from the Syracuse Sequicentennial Celebration and occupied a room in the Syracuse Public Library until June, 2002 when it moved to its current location in the Syracuse Community Center.

The Museum often sponsors historic cruises of Lake Wawasee on the S. S. Lilly Pad. As the boat cruises the shoreline, passengers learn about the geology, geography and history of Lake Wawasee as well as the individuals and institutions that have shaped its history. Proceeds are used to help maintain the Museum.

The Indiana Medical History Museum is located in the Old Pathology Building on the grounds of the former Central State Hospital on the near westside of Indianapolis. The museum represents the beginning of scientific psychiatry and modern medicine while the building itself is the oldest surviving pathology facility in the nation and is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Joseph Moore Museum is the regional natural history museum for eastern Indiana. It provides opportunities for Earlham students to have hands-on experience working in a museum in the fields of zoology, botany, anthropology, geology, education, and applied arts. Students curate the collection, provide tours and planetarium shows for visitors, maintain the live animal collections, and design and build exhibits. Guidance is provided by natural science faculty members.
