The Coronado-Quivira Museum in Lyons is one of the best small museums in Kansas. Separate displays focus on early inhabitants, Spanish explorers, the Sante Fe Trail, and the coming of homesteaders and permanent settlers. Part of the museum is in the old Carnegie Library, with most of the displays in the newer, adjacent structure.

The Post Rock Scout Museum was created in 2004 by Kathie Crispin, a long-time member of Girl Scouts and collector of Girl Scouts memorabilia. The collection now on display in the museum also includes memorabilia from Girl Guides, Pioneer Girls, Camp Fire Girls, Girl Reserves, and Boy Scouts. The items in the museum are a combination of her own purchases and trades, and the donations from former scouts in her community and across the country. The museum is part of the Non-profit organization, the Crispin Antiquarian Foundation.

Crispin's Drug Store Museum held its Grand Opening on July 22, 2007. This pharmacy museum is set up as a small town drug store from the 1880-1920 period. This was a time of transition for druggists - switching from preparing ingredients and products from crude drug forms (such as seeds, barks, and roots) themselves - to buying the ingredients and products already prepared from the growing number of drug manufacturers at the end of the period. Therefore the museum displays both crude drug ingredients and manufactured drugs.

The museum served as a high school from 1904 to 1929. From 1930 until the late 1960's the building housed all the sixth grades in the city as a Departmental School. The administration offices were also located in the building. In the 1940s, kindergarten classes were started in the basement level and during the 1970s, the building housed "Continuing Education" and "Head Start" programs.
