Bountiful is the second settlement in Utah, and we have a rich heritage and many places to visit and learn about. We have just recently moved into our new facilities, the James and Alice Smedley Manor at 305 North Main, Bountiful, Utah. This beautiful home was built in 1893 and has been well preserved and fits the needs of our historical museum perfectly.

We are an historical home. The Relic Home is one of the first homes built outside Mt. Pleasant's fort. William S. Seely built this home. He was the first L.D.S. bishop and also the first mayor of Mt. Pleasant. We have large photo portraits of the original pioneers as well as photos of original events, pioneers, homes and historical sites. We also have collected numerous histories and genealogies of the original pioneers as well as descendants who followed them.

The Syracuse Museum and Cultural Center celebrates and preserves local history of the city of Syracuse and its early citizens. The main building houses extensive collections of personal belongings that came to Utah in the early pioneer days, Syracuse baseball teams, toys, music, clothing, furniture, and family histories. The Farm and Home building houses items that show the extensive agricultural past of Syracuse when the town was the largest producer of fruit in Davis County in the early 1900s. Dairy production is also emphasized and on display is our claim to fame: the two-headed calf. Also housed in this building is a replica general dry goods store and the town's first fire truck.
