The park is an isolated paradise nestled between Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge, North Carolina, Back Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Since no vehicle are allowed, access is by bike, foot or boat.
The new Chesapeake Bay Center features aquariums and a wet lab operated by the Virginia Marine Science Museum. There are educational displays and historical exhibits about First Landing State Park. Parking fee.
