As the Northern Pacific railroad construction inched west and east, small towns grew around the construction including, from the north, Heron, Noxon, Trout Creek, White Pine, Belknap, Thompson Falls, Plains, Paradise, Perma, Dixon and others now obliterated from visible signs. Hot Springs and Camas, originally assigned to the Flathead Indians, was divided into homesteads beginning in 1910.

Our big yellow tipi, is out front to highlight our connection with the first nations people from the other side of the mountain as well as our hunting history. Inside our 1920's horse barn you will find a different display in each (double) team stall showcasing some point of our history.
