Botanical Garden, Children's, Culture, General, History, Historic House, Historical Society, Nature Centers, Park

View authentic 19th century farm life and peek inside a lime kiln to discover how limestone was converted to a commercial and agriculture chemical. Listed on the National Regiser of Historic Places and designated a State Historic Site and a Milwaukee County Landmark, Trimborn Farm is unique - a Civil War farmstead in the midst of a major metropolitan area.
The only Milwaukee County Park devoted to a historic theme, Trimborn Farm boasts nine period buildings including one of the largest stone barns still standing in Wisconsin, a granary constructed using the German method of "nogging," and four kilns used for over 50 years.
Trimborn Farm is open to school groups by appointment.
