Description

Built in 1904 as the Florida East Coast Railroad's station agent house in Homestead, the Florida Pioneer Museum focuses on the early settlers of South Dade County. It has displays of photographs and artifacts from the early 20th century, a well-equipped kitchen and displays on Native Americans and the Florida East Coast Railroad, among others.

Mission

We seek to educated people about how the area was settled, offering information on early settler families, the Miami Land & Development Company, Florida City, Homestead, Redland and other small communities of the time.
