Description

County museum looking at Ohio County's history. Traveling exhibits have included "First Ladies of Fashion" and Goerge Winter paintings of the removal of Native Americans from Indiana. the J. W. Whitlock Gallery looks at the contributions of local resident Whitlock made. Features the Hoosier Boy raceboat, an autoharp, which was the first coin-operated jukebox, and a selection of chairs made in his factory.

Mission

To promote the heritage of Ohio County through the collection, preservation, and display of artifacts pertaining to local and area history, by means of the Ohio County Historical Society and its educational programs.
